If you recently experienced the death of a loved one, please accept our sympathies and condolences.  We want to offer you comfort and certain hope.

The funeral liturgy is a time for the family and friends of the deceased to gather with the Church community for prayer and support. The funeral Mass is also the central liturgical celebration for the deceased. The Church intercedes on behalf of the deceased and through the funeral rites commends the dead to God’s merciful love and pleads for the forgiveness of their sins. We pray with the assured hope that our loved one will rise to new life in Christ.


If you are preparing a funeral, please make sure to contact one of our priests in our parish at 770-890-5299. Wait for the beep signal, then enter the phone number, including area code, you wish to have the priests call. Then press the # sign. The priest on duty will call you shortly.

IHM will work with you and the church’s calendar to set up a time for the liturgy. The preparation of a funeral liturgy can be overwhelming. We are here to help you however we can.
