55 & Over Ministry - This is a fellowship ministry for members of the parish who are 55 years old or older. This ministry includes men and women and the goal is to build a sense of fellowship, community and support through social and educational events and trips. They meet almost monthly for a meal, fellowship and/or entertainment. Athletic Association - The Athletic Association teaches basketball and volleyball to children while emphasizing Christian ethics, teamwork, and basic individual skills. Catholic League basketball is from November through February. Click here to access IHMAA's website directly. Bridge– The Bridge groups are primarily for fellowship among bridge players in our community. There are two groups, the Tuesday afternoon (1:00pm) group and the First Friday Group (6:30pm) Tuesday Bridge - This group meets every Tuesday afternoon in the lower level of the church to play bridge. It is primarily for intermediate to advanced bridge players. Couples Ministry/Ministerio de Parejas - Couples Ministry gathers couples that are interested in learning more about the Church, love, family, nutrition and other contemporary issues. They frequently receive talks and guidance from our Parochial Vicar. They meet every other Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in Spanish.
Newcomers’ Welcome Committee – This group welcomes new families into the parish with phone calls, cards and regular dinners. Volunteers are needed to assemble welcome packets, host receptions and contact new families. Nursery - Children’s safety and parents comfort is paramount to us. Our nursery is offered to children ages one to four years of age, and is open during the 9:00 am, the 11:30 am, and the 1:30 pm Masses every weekend (from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm every Sunday.) There will be a maximum of 20 children at a time. Children are signed in and out by their parents or guardian with a picture ID. Parents are encouraged to fill out the "Child and Parent Information Sheet" under “frequently used forms” for every child that is dropped off. Men’s Club - A monthly gathering of adult male parishioners who support one another, offer services to the Church and school community and promote continuing spiritual growth as Catholic men. The Men's Club meets the first Thursday of each month in the school cafeteria. They share a meal, build and strengthen fellowship, listen to speakers, plan events, and discuss topics important to Catholic men in today’s society. They sponsor the Lenten Fish Fries, monthly parish breakfasts and are involved with various events throughout the year. Mothers’ Group- The IHM Mothers’ Group focuses on building friendships and offering support to mothers of young and school aged children. Their activities include providing meals to families with new babies, mom’s nights out, family picnics and dinners, park outings, playgroups, Bible studies, and service activities. Prayer Group/ Grupo de Oración - Parishioners meet to praise God in prayer, in a cheerful way. They meet every Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Spanish. Scouting: The goals of Scouting: citizen training, character development and personal fitness have been successfully implemented in IHM’s program. Cub Scouts Pack 550 - This ministry is open to all boys affiliated with the parish that are in first to fifth grades. They have an annual membership sign-up event at the end of August.
Sponsor Couple Ministry – Sponsor Couple Ministry is designed to get couples off to a good start for a blessed marriage. This ministry helps engaged couples explore the realities of married life through reflection and dialogue with a sponsor couple already living in a Christian Marriage. The meetings (five to six in total) take place in the home of the sponsor couple. The members of this ministry must be couples who have been married for at least five years.
