First Sacraments for Children (Reconciliation and Communion)
You must register your child for sacrament preparation classes before they are able to attend the classes. Please check the church bulletin, church website or the letter that was mailed home for the registration deadline.
The celebration of sacraments is a family/community affair. To fully prepare your child for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Penance, Confession) & Eucharist (Communion) it is important that you plan to attend the preparation classes found in the calendar. It is our expectation that at least one parent, but preferably both parents, attend all the preparation sessions. It is especially important for both parents if possible to be present with their child at the required reconciliation Retreat and Eucharist Retreat. Sacramental preparations begin in the fall.
Eucharistic Preparation for Adults Adults over 18, non- baptized adults and baptized Catholics who desire to embrace the Catholic Faith and receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation are invited to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA.) For more information on first sacraments (reconciliation and communion) preparation for children and adults contact: Miranda James |

Eucharist because it is an action of thanksgiving to God. The Greek words eucharistein and eulogein recall the Jewish blessings that proclaim - especially during a meal - God's works: creation, redemption, and sanctification.
The preparation begins in the First Grade and is continued in the Second Grade.
