IHM encourages participation, communication and collaboration in all works of the parish.

IHM has consultative bodies of lay parishioners who advise and assist the pastor and/or his designate. These are:

The Pastoral Council: The Code of Canon Law suggests that each parish have a Pastoral Council, as a visioning body, to assist the Pastor with pastoral planning.

The Worship Commission: The Worship Commission acts as an advisory committee on the liturgical life of the parish.

The Stewardship Council: This committee assists the Pastor and parish leadership in the overall design, implementation and evaluation of the parish stewardship process.

The Finance Council: The Code of Canon Law requires that each parish have a Finance Council. This Council provides guidance to the Pastor in managing the temporal goods of the community.

The School Advisory Council: Under Canon Law, the Pastor is the employer and administrator of the parish school. The School Advisory Council provides guidance to the Pastor and the Principal on important school matters.
