The mission of the Parish Worship Commission is to envision and enable the prayer life of the parish family.
The Worship Commission acts as an advisory committee on the liturgical life of the parish. They are responsible for gathering input and feedback from parishioners and then advising, helping, and working with the parish staff, particularly the Director of Liturgy and Music to turn ideas and concepts into realities that enhance our worship experience.
Some of the functions of the Worship Commission are:
- To consider the best ways to celebrate the seasons of the liturgical year;
- To evaluate the prayer needs of the community during weekly and seasonal celebrations
- To recruit, educate, and assist the liturgical ministries in any way they can
- To oversee the aesthetic needs of our worship space
Members of this Commission are all liturgical coordinators for every Mass and ministry. They are also bilingual, as they assist in all of our liturgies: Spanish, English, and bilingual Masses.
The Worship Commission is accountable to the Director of Liturgy and Music. Members of this committee either volunteer to be a part of the committee, or become de-facto members of the committee based on their liturgical ministry position.
