Rep. Scott Holcomb (a Catholic and a member of IHM) will speak about legislative and policy issues being addressed in the Georgia General Assembly this term. He will also talk about ways that we can live out the call of Catholic Social Teaching to "responsible citizenship" - being involved and communicating with our elected officials about issues that the gospel calls us to address. There will be time for a question and answer session, in which we can explore how Georgia legislative priorities line up with the
principles of Catholic Social Teaching. The talk begins at 6:30 p.m. in the School Cafeteria and we will wrap up by 7:45 so that any attendees who wish to can then receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (as the Lenten penance service begins at 7:00 p.m. that evening).
